I can't stand the torture that poor Anna is suffering. You are definitely brining the whole domestic violence message into the spotlight and it is horrifying and ugly! You are also showing how strong a woman can be. Great chapter.

RIVETING DIALOGUE AND ACTION. YOU DID A TREMENDOUS JOB IN INCREASING THE TENSION AND WITH THE UNPREDICTABILITY OF A PSYCHOPATH. SHOWING AND TELLING WERE IN GOOD BALANCE AS WAS THE SCENE'S CREATION. AN EXCELLENT PIECE OF WORK!

I can't imaging how Anna fell for Bobby from the beginning. It will be a miracle if she survives intact from his punishment.

This is another well-written chapter in which you have managed to grip the attention of the reader, ending with a wish to carry on reading but having to wait for your next chapter.
There is just one small change to recommend.

* You have - to fall face first onto the patio ... I suggest - to fall face-first OR face-down onto the patio ...

Nice work, Barbara. Good addition to the story and some good action/excitement. Horrible circumstances for Anna and I wondered if some inner dialogue with her thoughts might work. Just an idea. Thanks for sharing. billy

A lot of the word "bitch" , maybe try to add a different adjective in some places. This was a captivating read and very intense. You did a great job here as i was holding my breath through it. Wonderful!

I really feel for Anna and all that are so close to her. Nobody seems to be able to get through to Bobby. It must have always been like that.

Oh, the critter! The action was good in this chapter. I hope someone took a shot at the SOB and killed him. I'm just worried about Anna lying still. Well written and tense. luv jada

Well written and good drama. Excellent chapter.
This poem has a very strong hook at the end; making fora suspensful read.
This was penned with a deeper anger hate and abuse; you did a wonderful job writing this chapter where Anna decides to fight back. Well done!

Unfortunately this is the first chapter of your book I have read but is very well written and powerful. It took me on a very uncomfortable journey back in time to my own experience of domestic violence. Very real. :) Tina
