Interesting. But perfect, in the last line you'd want to say: "That makes tomorrow"? I like your 5-7-5 poem, which could be classified as senryu, and I can see the thought that went into it. Best of luck to you in the contest

This is so wonderful for a 5-7-5 that I'm saying 6 stars. You are indeed DaGirl. It's amazing that you can create such a thoughtful poem with just 17 syllables. You make such a good thought that a person's past preparation that will lead him or her on a successful journey. All that planning will make tomorrow. Well put and inspirational. judiverse

Yesterday is dead and gone. We cannot change that so don't look back except to remember the mistakes. Live for today knowing there may be a tomorrow. Nice poem. Honeycomb

I do agree, we can not go back ... we are moving ever forward.

I enjoyed your encouraging 5/7/5.

It reminds me of that old saying that " a journey of a thousand miles is begun with one step."

Thanks for your lengthy foot note. As I never read anything by you before it was very helpful. Strong message in this small poem that is dot on syllable count. Loved it.

I can't say this poem means too much to me. The secret is to say positive all the time. Are you pesonifying a motor vehicle here. Filling it up yesterday to drive today to get to your tomorrow.

Very nice and unique way to express your thought by making a drive as the medium.Next when I take a drive,your words will ring my mind.The after thought in the form of author notes are excellent.
