Hey sweet jax, thanks for a great review. There is a lesson here for poster AND reviewer. I say post at whatever rate you like, but be prepared for whatever you get good or bad. What you promote at SHOULDN'T be the incentive to get glowing reviews. By the same token people need only reflect honestly what they feel when reviewing, despite the money. Too many "make nice" as I said and can't be bothered critiquing properly...I attack reviewing with as much zest as my posts and believe me it pays off. I've made many fine friends here and thought of plenty of extra posts etc as a result of things said back and forth...If there is not much interaction other than fluff reviews and cut and paste replies, we don't really learn a lot... my time is limited here these days but for me the reviewing and posting has never been money driven. To be honest I would rather take 10 decent reviews to 50 bits of fluff. Genuine critique is what I am after. I have around 116 fans and my review numbers range from as little as 25 - 40+ sometimes. I don't usually pay anymore than 62c and I only pay that much because I post a lot less and feel I need to give my readers value. But I still would want them to totally reflect the rating they feel, not have them think they have to grace me with fives and sixers to keep me happy. If the writing backs it up then so be it.
I think people need to worry less about quantity and think more about quality, with what they post AND how they review. You know I am far from religious jax but I DO live by "Do unto others"...not everyone reciprocates that way but some ARE here just for themselves and are not interested in helping others, merely lining their member buck account. I write for myself but know most stuff strikes a chord with at least one or two, so even on my worst write I will still chalk up a couple of reviews. Sometimes I even pick up an extra fan or two when I go way out of the box and succeed with what I have written. The people that miss out on all this unfortunately JUST don't know what they are missing...

Why don't you try going way out of your comfort zone and see what happens...promote at mid range like 52 or 62c and see what happens. You may be pleasantly surprised...

Congratulations on having your 62 cents worth. It is already apparent who some of the worst ego trippers are, but then again isn't FS just a very sophisticated form of vanity press. re. I see the cracks are appearing already for you...LOL..it usually takes a few months before the stars are out of the eyes and you start to come down from the adulation, false or otherwise. Its a great place to write and share, but when driven by money and peoples greed you will always get exceptions who BEND or just about MURDER the damn rules. I'm not religious but I do live by "Do unto others"...it works good for me. Glad you liked my "wanking" hahaha.
Classic review and YOU had me in stitches so many thanks. I shall try and check out some of your work sometime...being a fellow Aussie I like to try and support if I can, but at the mo life is super busy and I barely have time to review and post.

You are bang on the money, its candor with a reasonable amount of tact that helps us build a bridge and get over it and either change or tweak something for the better. People simply don't take the trouble to try and make your post worse! LOL

People just need to rate honestly...its that simple. People can promote at whatever they like but I am sure MOST appreciate HONESTY with TACT. Do unto others you know?

LOL You are bang on with all you say in your response and its simply not worth getting really worked up over...rants like this are good because you can say your piece...blunt like me or slightly more elusive and maybe just maybe a few will take notice...unfortunately my hit rates on these writes SO often prove I have browned off the masses of shallow reviewers AND posters alike...LOL

I doubt, Sweetie, you will ever get a four or three rating from me. You know I love your stuff. But don't think I haven't given a four now and then. Believe it or not, I have! Usually, though, I'll skip on by anything that is not worthy of a five. You mentioned Earl as one who also tries to improve the site. I love that guy! I am so glad to have him as a somewhat recently acquired fan. He is a real treasure on this site. If we are going to pick out favorite males, I also adore Rhymelord and Interesting Ron. They all delight me so much Well, off to my spin class I now go--I hate sweating but must do it before I start shopping for mother-of-the-bride dresses. I agree these subjects need to get right out in the forefront of discussion...trouble is the ones I have browned off won't really read or if they did, they sure as shit won't review...my hit rates to reviews prove that of these style posts over and over and over again...

"Catapult me high" is exactly what they want and "purchased pride' is a delightful oxymoron and so true. I was waiting for you to get stuck into who is really responsible for 'their' rise to high postions and you get there with "Could we be the ones deluded?" Great use of "eaking" and 'oaking" rhymes lol with an unpected change to a monorhome with "andish words". More than most people would even know existed. Boy do they "hate critique and act out-landish". (Some people do really extreme things to those who upset them with the truth) lol All in all, a great mix of poetic forms Closet and you got to know you've got a sister here with regard to your subject matter. xxx Pix

Haha, you like? LOL Thanks pixel honey and yeah when I do the Trochaic meter which is the reverse DUM da instead of Da DUM I seem to feel the need to explain. Some beaut reviews here including yours my darling. You are bang on the money with everything you say. Trouble is mate, the wrong people are reviewing...the ones that SHOULD be taking notice I have browned off YET again with my outspokenness...LOL My hit rates to reviews more than prove that on these writes...unfortunately this one is NO different. LOVED your review though along with all the other support I am getting.
