This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very easy read. There is good imagery and descriptive scheme

I enjoyed it very much Sue. You still are the very best storyteller on the site. Amazing how you can pack so much story into so few lines.

I can't believe you let him live
Just so he could give
One more treat to his faithful friends
Ones who love him til the end
Well done with your story, Buck

Hi Michael! Wow! I am better late tonight. Thank you for asking. I was lucky to have 9 days in a row painfree...then late yesterday....here we go again. It's really getting old. Thanks too, for this great review and extra star...I'm honored. Susan

A lovely character sketch about a man who loved animals -the same as you. I can picture them waiting forlornly as he waited to heal. So sweet that he had good neighbors and an understanding boss.I love the ending. A feel-good story for sure.

there are so many exceptional strings of words here that it's hard to point to one, but I truly fell for the sentence thaat suggested the man was not awae he was alive. What a classic!
Ironically, I've just finishd a story about a Gypsy fortune teller.....how bout that.
