Hi Maggie
I see that this heartbreaking account is biographical non-fiction. That makes it all the more poignant my friend.
I had to watch my mother die.
God bless you.

Thank you, Ron. Yes, we are moving from sunshine to shadows and it's the first time I've ever been afraid of the dark. Hugs, Maggie

This is a heart breaking story about watching the love of your life deteriorate. Your words and language effectively convey your sorrow and fear of losing the one you love. The day/ night metaphor in the last paragraph is very poetic and is an eloquent conclusion to your story. I am very sorry for your pain, and wish you the best.

This is a very touching story and one can feel the pain.
Your story has strong emotions for the one you love. It is hard to get ready to lose your mate of so many years. Very good dialogue and characters very well written. Blessings Rita

I'm so sorry you're going through this, but so humbled that you're sharing this story with us, letting us share your troubles. It is so spirit enriching to read of love that didn't die with the first storm, that stood up and beat the odds.
Your story is a testimony that love CAN win.
Your relationship is enterng a new phase, a painful one. All phases are just that. They pass. You will see him again in the next phase, beautiful and healthy and whole, as you will be.
For now, cherish the moments here.
Beautiful story.

Written with tears for ink and love dying. A totally sad and perfectly to the scene some of us have been through. Re-birth of memories within a total giving of oneself is so hard to write, and you succeed here spot on. May pay to look at spell check on (creatin? e). Not sure. Great and heartfelt.5+ Good pic. Sense or the inner energy flowing to ?

Thank you, jimbo starr. I'll recheck the spelling. Writing it makes it as easy as its going to get. Easy is something it will never be. Hugs, Maggie

I have tears in my eyes and its been awhile since I've read anything that has moved me so much. It'll be two years in April that I met the man I'm going to marry. I can't imagine loosing him. I love falling asleep in his arms and knowing he'll be there in the morning. Okay, I'm really crying, this sucks and I'm sorry you're going through this. Stay strong and keep writing friend

Thank you, WIVA Red Bird. The way I get through is with writing; my husband seems to know he's ready. Only his family is having trouble. Hugs, Maggie

Oh yes, night falls when it decides!
Well composed ...the story, not you obviously.
I paticularly enjoyed the 'children-morning, career-midday & midnight yet' reference.
Very touching.
Very sad.
Very inevitable.
Midnight comes when it decides.

Yes, randomzed, it does and there is nothing that will hold it back, though we all seem to try. Hugs, Maggie
