Very good article; good good advise. I agree that as women, we must go three this sometimes painful process. I tell you what, I am barely a "B" cup but believe me, the pain and experience is not pleasant at all. Only one little tweak, the word "importnat" should be changed to important. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Malerie. I've heard from a couple of women that a smaller breast size does not mean an easier exam. Sorry if I came across as crass - and thanks for catching the spelling error. I'll change it pronto! I appreciate your generous review and your taking time to read the essay. Warm regards, Bev

Bev, this is terrific. Told with humor, yet informative. And I enjoyed your down-to-earth language. I, like you, am good about getting a yearly mammogram. Not so good with self-exams. It took me a lot of years to floss regularly, so I guess I should try to make this a habit, too. Thanks for this reminder for a great way to start the new year. Linda

From sweet to funny to quite serious, this piece is very moving. Thanks for looking out for us women!

Rather than using the phrase, "even more imperative " I would use either just "imperative" or "Even more important." Imperative implies absolutely necessary--necessity already at the highest degree. Important dabble with degrees.

This is a very well written essay on the breast cancer issue. Having gone through all of the tests and removal of one breast I can fully relate. Thanks for sharing, Linda

As being a large breasted individual also, I am not looking forward to the time that I will need to get a mammogram. Your piece offered a lot of great advice and knowledge of the subject. I enjoyed your humor throughout the hard topic and I find this well written. Thank you for sharing, as I know some people just don't take their own health seriously.

There are changes happening all the time, in the field of detection for breast cancer. Compared to a decade ago, the mammogram process has been shortened, so even if it does hurt some - it's very quick. And much less radiation exposure, too. I hope you'll read some of the reviews for this piece as a way of learning more about its importance. And thank you so very much for stopping by to read and offer your generous supportive review. Warm regards, Bev

I enjoyed reading your story very much Writingfundimension. I don't agree with you that it's worse for people with bigger boobs. My sister is a radiographer and she said it is worse for people with smaller ones as it's harder to get them in the right position...brings tears to my eyes just thinking of it...lol. I'd rather have an MRI any day. I can handle the star wars sounds and burps and farts, better than the squashing, pulling and pinching.,

Hi, PG. I have learned from a few folks like yourself that there are challenges for smaller breasted women in getting a good mammogram picture. Seems like it's the folks in that middle range that have it a little easier. Thank you for sharing and for your excellent review. I much appreciate it! Warm regards, Bev

Hi there Writingfundimension, I enjoyed reading your essay here which affects alot of woman today. I would like to share a story with you about my sister had lumps in her breast 2 years ago and straight away I gave her some of my Colloidal Silver and when she went back to the doctor her lumps had disappeared. I have been telling people for years now how good this stuff is. It kills off the cancer cells and laughter for the mental side and no more cancer. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for sharing your poignant personal insights. I have not heard of the supplement? that you mention. But I will do a check on it. Thanks for sharing that information here and allowing women to do some checking on their own for a possible natural support for breast health. And thank you for our extremely generous review for the write. Blessings, Bev
