This was an interesting and informative essay that was clean and well-written. The technique of starting with a little "tata" humor was an effective way to break the ice and move on to the larger point. Great job.

Your use of humor to cover up the unease of a mammogram was well placed and appreciated. Your writing gave me much to think about as well as comparing mammograms to MRI's. You have done your homework! You make it easy for the reader to gain a better understanding of the whys and hows of this necessary evil.

Writingforfun, this is an awesome piece on a delicate subject. You tackeled with with finesse, grace and much good humor. I, too, have those large, fibrous breasts and do feel very lumpy at times. And, yeah, no fun with mammograms. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

Writingfundimension:
This could be reprinted and sent to magazines and
newspapers across the country to serve as a Public
Service Announcement. There is a history of breast
cancer in my family so I use due diligence in insuring
I get my mammograms done yearly -- no matter how
uncomfortable the feat may be.
thanks for sharing
love,
jan

Hi, Jan. Thank you so much for your awesome review. I'm considering the suggestions by several folks about seeking a larger audience. You certainly know how to take good care of yourself by getting those mammograms. It really does come down to self-love and self-respect in my humble opinion. Hugs, Bev

A very well written essay regarding the care and maintenance of our health in the form of mammograms and self exam. I liked the artwork, kinda reminded me of the spread and twist between the glass at afore mentioned exam. Thank you for the info.

A reading that could have been maybe boring or scary but instead is written in such a way that left me smiling!
And, more importantly, inspired me to make a new resolution to go have a mammogram more frequently.
For this I thank you!
BLESSINGS TO YOU.

Breast cancer is a nasty way to die. So, like you, it's frustrating to think that a routine test could have saved your Aunt's lives and they didn't take advantage of it. Thanks for stopping by! Warm regards, Bev
