Describing Love

Your syllable count is spot on. Frankly, I cannot for the life of me figure out how anyone would claim describe is 3 syllables.
You convey a feeling that many share - even if we are poets, the depth of true love truly is beyond words :-) Brooke

Perhaps I was just worried that someone could find some error in the spell count. I figure since I'm not able to post much of anything, I would try hard enough not to screw up my only chance to share my work. Thank you though, it's an understanding you can only obtain through experience, not through literature or verbal explanations.

I don't know if you've read many of the standard member entries into this contest, but many of them are just crazy - things like 18 line poems with syllable count that has nothing to do with 5/7/5 - even if you had been one syllable off you would be way ahead of the game. LOL :-)

I don't really know how to navigate this site that well, I'll try to figure that one out. Thank you though.

Nicely written in short words with much insight and depth in it. True you can know so about love can not describe the feelings. For sure you run out of words. Best of luck in the contest

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the review. Love tends to be almost unfair in how inspiring it can be for good content. :'D

Please do not explain away the word 'describe'.
This is an excellent offering!
Upon first reading, it is a tad contradictory.
However, upon 4th reading .....a enigma explained.
Thanks for making me think more than usual.

I'll keep that in mind. And I don't know if I'd call it contradictory. It was more amongst like... If I can't describe it with all the words in the world, why would I waste the time instead of just using a few to describe how I couldn't?

I know much of love
But to describe the feeling
I am without words...
Great 5-7-5; so true! Describing feelings of love is almost an impossible thing. You are right in assuming that describe is two syllables, so you syllable count is perfect.

Yeah, but I didn't know if someone would run in here and be like. DIH-SCRIY-BEH! And then I would be out of luck. D:

Love, of course, can never be described (two syllables) haha. The only way to know what it feels like...is to experience it. Nice post. Thanks. :)

Thanks, it's hard to do a 5-7-5 on something that can't be described in maximum use of words. :'D But hey, it worked.
