What a fresh and unique take on a poem - to address the moon directly and ask him deep questions. I really like it. The poem has a nice smooth flow and soothing, interesting imagery. "For eons, you have glided the globe," is a beautiful, descriptive line. Excellent!

Hullo LateBloomer ....

This certainly is a very poetic serenade to the Moon, questioning the source of its light and radiance.
There is nothing to suggest changing. Whenever I look at the Moon now, I think of the fact that men have actually walked on its surface. I also marvel at the way God placed the Sun, the Moon and the Stars in the firmament where they have remained and will be as long as He so ordains.
Thank you for sharing these lovely thoughts with us.
Love from .... Nanette Mary.

I love the moon as well as it speaks to me uplifts me and carries me sometimes in the wee hours of morning. I can lay on my daybed and look out my window and the moon is shining in the window as if to say you take care I am always here. Love your poem very much.

Hello Piggies Grandma, Thank you for the great review. How is life treating you? Any better since the car died, and the dog ate your homework - lol? JK ... But I'll have to check your lively posts. Take care. I hope your days have been brighter, Sincerely, LateBloomer

We finally got our car back on Monday. They told it was the head and it would cost $4,000.00 so we took it to the wreckers and it was only the radiator and cost $300.00. Thank goodness.

Ohhhhhhh, Piggies Grandma, I had a similar story happen to me just before one X-mas. Mechanic told me that I needed a new engine at $1,500. I just couldn't believe it because the car up until the breakdown was really running fine ... no wierd sounds, no lagging, nothing. So, I thanked him and had AAA tow the car home to my driveway. God Bless AAA. Mechanics are so confident that once they have your disabled car in their shop, you are at their mercy. Anyway, my children were not going to not have X-mas because of this. After X-mas, still no money, so the car sat in my driveway for three months. This was a huge inconvenience causing me to have to drive my husband to/fro work each day so that I could have his car to drive the children to/fro school, etc. Ohhh, I should mention that I am in Sales and need my car to travel from location to location. Need I paint the picture further. Well, after about three months, I finally saved about $1,500 and felt
brave enough to have the car towed to another mechanic. The repair cost was $300 (forget what minor thing it was.) I guess mechanic #1 thought that it was more important that He and his family have X-mas, than mine. I say no more. Interestingly, how both our repairs were $300 vs. $4,000 and $1,500. PG, There is a Santa and God does watch over us ... sometimes we just have to use the brain a wee bit that He gave us - lol. Smiles. Here's to better days. LateBloomer
p.s. My husband just wanted me to charge the $1,500 and how is the smarter one????

A surprise for me to find the moon in a masculine genre. A nice change, getting out of the box. Your work have a great flow and rhythm. Best wishes.

The thoughts in this poem are very sincere and nice. The poem has excellent clarity and focus. However, the presentation is hurt by inconsistent rhyme and meter
( rhythm ). These things would have made a good poem wonderful!

a poem of beauty, writing of that
dancing moon who leaves each night
far too soon. Words of poetic artistry
as your words bring out the glow of
warmth that the moon over the world
brings as it shines over rich and poor,
man and woman as it dances its way down
the screen with the life you have given
it.
Well done. If only I had six stars to
give you for this one.
