Bob, Your ABC entry is excellently composed and provides another stark reminder of the "restless" ideas, ideologies on one side and the restlessness of folks on this side who were caught by surprise. You have condensed a whole book in the three syllables that begin this poem.
This is how it speaks to me "Restless world": troubled, nervously excited, evil beyond imagination...
Yes our lives have changed forever! We saw our country as safe yet open and trusting. I, as an individual, begin to ask the question, "Where can I be safe?" The war is not on the battlefield anymore, it is right at our door. That is why we are all afrid.
That incident marked the beginning of turbulent times as per the bible.
But the bible says in Luke 21:25,26
"25"And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars; and upon the earth distress among nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.
26Men's hearts will fail them for fear and for looking upon those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."
Anyway that is enough for today!
Very good poem. I could write a whole book on it.

This is something different from you. You did an excellent job jogging our memories. Very much to the point. It is by far the worst tragedy I've ever experienced--and that was 3000 miles away.
