Bob, Your ABC entry is excellently composed and provides another stark reminder of the "restless" ideas, ideologies on one side and the restlessness of folks on this side who were caught by surprise. Your concluding line, "embedded forever" says a lot. The series of events (three planes) have changed America and the world. Best wishes in the contest. Blessings, Hector

Very good!

You have condensed a whole book in the three syllables that begin this poem.

This is how it speaks to me "Restless world": troubled, nervously excited, evil beyond imagination...

Yes our lives have changed forever! We saw our country as safe yet open and trusting. I, as an individual, begin to ask the question, "Where can I be safe?" The war is not on the battlefield anymore, it is right at our door. That is why we are all afrid.

That incident marked the beginning of turbulent times as per the bible.

But the bible says in Luke 21:25,26

"25"And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars; and upon the earth distress among nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.

26Men's hearts will fail them for fear and for looking upon those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."

Anyway that is enough for today!

Very good poem. I could write a whole book on it.

Thank you!

Congratulations on your ABC poem on the subject of the Twin Towers atrocity. The world should never forget the suffering of the great city of New York.

Hello Bob,

This is something different from you. You did an excellent job jogging our memories. Very much to the point. It is by far the worst tragedy I've ever experienced--and that was 3000 miles away.

I love your write-you have good imagery and a good flow with your write-I like how you express yourself--I love where you write(Restless world) because the world is surely restless--great job.

Who knew? That you could pause and play in a poetry corner?

Yeah, the picture adds dramatic back story to a dozen well chosen words.

Where's Joey?

Perhaps we are moving from innocent acceptance to horrific reality. But you know you can't stop now.

Forever in our minds and hearts is true. Our lives in the United States has changed so much since then, but we still have our freedom. My heart and prayers go to all who have suffered. I loved your ABC you summed it up so well and the picture fit perfectly. Blessings and good luck in the contest.

Nicely done, Bobby. For those
of us who were down there that
day it is embedded in our memories
forever, the smells, the sights, the
ghosts walking in the white dust of
the buildings.
You start to spill over in my poetry
section, watch out, I've got some
tales to tell. LOL.

To Humane Mastery

I see my friend with tired wearied heart
Restless and unsatisfied- truly hurt

Wearied by a world, wobbling on hinges
By human nature from which he cringes

Astonished, surprised that man dare kill
Destroy all, his kind and all, for a thrill

Many a building, village, whole destructed
On earth is chaos, by man distracted

Human horror waits for no Halloween
But all abuses, from innocent teen

To old and weak, sparing not the unborn.
When all is perished, we shall stand forlorn

To those with knowledge, and faith resolute-
All shall answer to Power Absolute!

Rest assured, dear friend
You are gold, end to end!
