This long, well written life poem describes the poetess's living experiences throughout its narrative versification putting into evidence the importance of little things and at the same time to be happy with oneself of what has been lived and possessed. I love it all. Have a great evening and greetings from Italy

Your nevers are many, but your haves far outweigh them in importance. You are truly blessed. Your poem points out a stark contrast between what is window dressing and what is substance.

What an excellent commentary on a life well lived. You describe what's most important in life: loving, sharing, caring, looking, learning; and not the falsity of what you have, own, or are possessed by. The rhymes you make are moving and apt. Well done... ...ec

Since you have sowed happiness and good will you are reaping the same now.
It reminds of a very old song 'who wants to be a millionaire'...
Smelling the flowers touching the babies would be much more than winding stairs and snooty butlers..

A really good read, I like how all the things you haven't had don't matter a jot in the bigger scheme of things. I for one believe we reap what we sow, and life's real riches are the simple things that money can't buy. You sum this up beautifully with your meanderings.

Hello Linda. I believe it takes a certain amount of courage to open up the bulk of your life and to write down large portions of it. You described a lot of the events that you did, and did not, do. You spoke about a lot of things that you did that seems they could make a full life. I was actually fascinated by the last stanza. You summed up everything with a sentence of, "and what now I reap is what I sewed." What I have seen in my 73 years is people want to deny much responsibility for their lives except for the few successes. This is really an excellent narrative and you did well. Robert

A fantastic and straightforward story that makes you pause and take account of the things that we all put on our bucket list and wait for the moment that never comes. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

You might have been meandering but I enjoyed reading it several times in fact. I like how the first half was about things you never had and quite frankly didn't really want them and the second half were things you've experienced that are far greater than those things that don'r matter.
Great job!
