What a perfect pic of this lilly! I can see you really enjoyed your visit to the garden. I hope to see more photos.
I quite enjoyed the mirroring nonets you've stacked here. The wistful tone and lament is one I'm sure echoes for many a reader. Well presented poetry and photography--S.

I am going to give myself a year's membership to the gardens as my birthday present to myself-then I can go anytime I want to!!! Debbie

We all long for a secret place where we can take our thoughts, talk with God and try to allow ourselves time to regroup so that we can march on. This is nicely written and reads smoothly. Good job. God bless.

I enjoyed the read very much and wish I had the kind of place you're talking about. I think your form is very clever and it has a perfect flow to it. The syllables counts are just as they should be. It's a fun read. You are getting quite good at using your own photos. The flower is beautiful! deb

When I was working, I would periodically just take a couple days and spend them at a hotel with a pool and relax. Can't afford it now. LOL! Thanks for reviewing!!! Take care, Debbie

When my ex and I sold our house, we split the money and he bought a condo, me this house. We'd had a pool and I wanted to build one here. He made it sound as though he'd split the cost with me, I had some money of my own from an investment, and w/my ex's help, I figured why not. But, I didn't realize 'til after the fact that he wasn't helping out. Oh well, an expensive venture, but it's nice having it and my son's appreciate. My older son's dog LOVES to swim. So, this is my vacation spot...LOL!

I really like this. Sorry I haven't been around. Retired, you know--busy. I'll have to send you a personal message. It's been a lot of fun!

I had two secret places when I was a child--one: hidden in the walls of my room. I'm fairly sure people 'knew' where I was, but were too lazy to grab at me. And two: in the arms of the cedars that grew in our front yard.

Well written--ya did good girl....Kone

This form is interesting in the shape that it takes on the page.
Like an hour glass.

It read well and I like the sentiment of wanting a quiet place to renew yourself when you're low.
You use good alliteration and consonance:
-special/secret/spend/place/peacefully/space
the 's' sound is actually in all of these words!

Debbie, kudos for attempting a mirror nonet. Your message is clear. Both nonets express a desire for peaceful solitude where one can rejuvenate the soul. The first shows a troubled soul, the second shows the process of "centering." Blessings, Hector
