Interesting, Spiritual Echo. Everyone who survives has experienced some kind of tragedy. We will all die, though in the end. Tragedies sometimes make us better people and stronger. Tragedies can also destroy us if we let them. Good luck in your Writing Prompt entry. April

You've written a wonderful essay about your thoughts and involvement with FanStory, Echo. So often we read what's wrong with this site and through the years I've been here, there's been lots of them. Of course it's not perfect...no one and nothing is, but the benefits of FS out-number the little parts that have always seemed to bug many people enough to even leave the site.
You've written beautifully of what FS has brought into your life and I agree with you, Echo. Where else can we practice our craft, read some incredible works (and crappy ones, too, that also help us improve, receive feedback for our writings, and meet some people along the way who truly inspire us. I have made some friends on this site that I consider just as special to me as ones I see in person.
I enjoyed your essay, Echo, and I think you've written for many for us ... and for that I thank you.

As I have just read this I have tears in my eyes here. There were so many things you said about this site that I also came in touch with and that is why I am drawn to it and to it's writers, you included. This is an excellent writing and I thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Sure can't argue with your list, Spirit. You've just encouraged me to write on this topic (no competition). Don't believe the ageism of the publishers. You have to experience life before you can effectively write about it. That's why, in a sea of modern books, there is so little modern literature. Great job. :) Nancy
