What a great poem! As long as the waterfall! But it bounced off roots and branches, and slapped off rocks all the way down...ending in a big splash!
I loved all your inner rhyming, descriptions of your writing journey from the top, and all the way to the bottom... al the "while finding out what I do, don't seem to know" ... "learning to grow"
I know what you mean ...searching for that "hammer"... "a real word slammer"
And "seeking out that all elusive rhythm"
My favorite lines,
"a cascade of strife
drips liberally
from a well-polished
literary knife"... your pen? I like that.
What a trip! You didn't write this one in just a few minutes! Well-planned! This was a real pleasure to read and review. You have written this for all Fanstory poets with an imagination... "honing my skills, seeking my thrills, maybe one day, paying some bills".
Sure, it would be nice to make some money writing. But that's not why we write... it's the sheer joy of it... the splash at the bottom... the mist in the air!

The rhythm of life and its beats and movement life in this extraordinary work of yours. Flows and moves with power and grace.
Take a bite out of life and enjoy every minute and you said it withy imagery,image, and metaphor. What a gem!

This one is longer than that there waterfall I bet. There is some great alliteration thrown in with a few choice rhymes. I could almost see you shake yer stuff as you rapped it to me haha. Nice work hun :-)~
