I find nothing wrong with this poem. You have great description, that I can identify with. We have sparrows amongst a variety of birds that fly around here. I enjoyed this piece very much.
If I may, I think maybe this should be listed under poetry instead of General Fiction.
Either way, it was enjoyable:)

It's nice to see someone write about the sparrow for a change. So many verses written about the more colorful birds; few written about sparrows (except in the Bible). They congregate under my snow-laden bushes in winter; I enjoy having them here.

it is very uncanny as I too get what I beleive is the same sparrow year after year, its manerisms and favourite spots are always the same
