Nice commentary on the History that we should be learning from and don't. We seem to be repeating a lot of things that we should have learned from history books...Don

Very well said. History is destined to repeat itself if we don't keep a vigilant watch. It sickens me to see our Constitution slowly erode at the hand of legislators and judges with their own agendas. Even my own (grown) children won't listen and every time I bring it up, I get the 'oh no, here she goes again' look.
Thanks for posting!

You are so right and have written about it so well. Yes, it seems like we repeat our mistakes like Korea and Vietnam. And haven't learned a thing. Didn't the Great Depression teach us anything? Maybe we just refuse to listen. Very well penned.

Satan's dominions rape this land
Stealing right to bear arms unjust;
Denying rights to bless our land
Raises a free men's valiant thrust;
Like this write Old Foggie. The verse above reminded me of a movement across the states by the Free Men. Not so sure they have it exactly all together either.
Your write is openly honest and full of imagery!!!

History always repeats itself in my opinion-you have good rhythm and rhyme all through your poem-you are descriptive and write with emotion-you have written a poem that makes me think--you write about deadly viruses-and how Satan dominion rapes the land--I really like where you write (Greed and lust a slippery slope-Deadly virus rapes freedom range) a well penned poem--great job.

IT SEEMS LIKE IT IS...
MY FAVORITE PART IN THIS WONDERFUL PIECE OF ART IS
Pride of country touches the sand
Patriot's throbbing heart robust;
With love grand United we stand,
God's guidance democracy's must.
THANKS FOR SHARING.

A lot of truth in this well worded piece. Sadly it seems as a society we haven't learned from our history that is riddled with acts of inhumanity. A sombering write. Bravo

Saying I enjoyed your poem is not the right words..It is hard to enjoy seeing change within the USA and knowing that change is not always so good.I did enjoy the way you pulled it all together in a way so easily to read.I just read online where Castro is stepping down.. I wonder what change that will bring..
