Super writing again, and such a great book so far Valerie. It's so interesting and intriguing. We always wonder what goes on behind the story the media tells. You do an excellent job with this. XO

The media seldom write about this side of the story because they feel it doesn't sell papers or up the ratings. Glad you liked this one.

James is having a difficult time dealing with the situation. He can barely talk about it to Mac. It's only at Mac's prodding that James tells him what his mother told him. Unfortunately, he still has to get more information from his mother. If he presses too hard, his mother might break down.

There are a few grammatical and punctuation mistakes that need to be cleared up. For example, on the "Grow up, Watson" line, the end should say "...all the evidence against...." Eight paragraphs down, the last two words should be separated by a comma. "you, too." Just check carefully for those.

Good suspense, nice flow. I'm waiting to find out what happens next!

I am glad you put in an author's note about the 'village' because I had not come across this quote before.
james is carrying such a load it is no wonder he is close to breaking point. I suspected that Mac was using James to get information from his mother, but I can appreciate that she would not have said anything to Mac no matter how he questioned her. So all hinges on what else she can tell James and if the blood is Mary Ellen's. Can't wait for the next part. xxmosue

I think James is growimg up really fast as he's been able to keep his anger under restraint. Mac is a good guy and he shouldn't fight him so much. I really enjoyed this excellent chapter.

It's fascinating learning about why James' father would do such horrendous things. His mind must really be damaged. James is indeed one of the most intelligent people I've ever read about, and he is also one of the most decent. This was another great chapter.

Thank you very much. Yes, his father was carrying a lot of baggage but still no excuse for killing twelve innocent people. I am glad you enjoyed this one.

I am sorry that I didn't read this sooner. Is this an extension of the Crack in the Mirror. I thought it was just a re hash of the story. I will start to follow it again. I thought the story was over. This is an excellent chapter.

'A Duel At Thirty Paces or a Truce?' is a chapter that further shows the frustration James feels. Identifying a victim who he knew was a bit of a shock and makes me anxious for the next facts Mac comes up with.

A well written chapter, Sasha.

Another great chapter, give me more! LOL, the more I read, the deeper I'm pulled in and I truly can't wait to see more.

There was one part that confused me though so I'm hoping you can clear it up for me.

"there would be no village to hold my hand or guide me through this, all I had was Mac"

I'm not sure by the reference of there not being a village to hold his hand.

Beyond my own confusion, like I said, it's great!

It is in reference to a book Hillary Clinton wrote called, It takes a village to raise a child....I may have to go back and clarify this section. Glad you still liked this chapter.
