Good solid chapter laying the ground work here Bev and I was nearly going to say about two thirds of the way in, I would have liked a bit more action with the ghosts in this chapter and then got to the end and still NO ghosts yet...I see ... Haha - clever girl.
Like I said, good solid groundwork, excellent dialogue between characters and a sense of real about it. You set the scene for some eerie surprises in the next chapter me thinks.
Oh dear, I hope it is not too scary as I hate spooky ones. I will have to read this during the day! LOL
Cheers on a good set up for the next chapter. Should be interesting.

Hi, closet. The early experience Mia had is a 'ghostly' experience. Coldness, myserious smells, etc. are signs of supernatural presences; but you are right, that was pretty subtle! I think this is evolving into a murder mystery as well as a supernatural mystery; and your feedback is especially helpful. You never do fluff buddy. Ooooh, I'm liking this story right off the bat, girl!!! What a great locale for the haunted mansion. I've lived in Maine, Freeport, not exactly a warm place during the winter. Not exactly a warm place during any season. LOL.
Back to your story .. seems this team is already going to meet with some problems in the caretaker. He sounds pretty resolute against having strangers about the place.
Can't wait to read what comes next!!!!

Sounds like the kids are getting into something that is still simmering with the local people. I had a paranormal experience way back in 1987. It was not fun.
