In this poem I see words of counsel, direction and guidance. I love rhyming poem especially when they are not complicated. The flow and fit of wisely chosen words are shown in this poem. Very good.

This has a wonderful message ~ stop and smell the roses. We do lose focus when our mind takes us on trips far away from being in present moment. The fourth stanza, third line ~ I believe should be too, not to. It is never too late to change.

Pretty good rhymed and rhythmic, smooth flowing "this is what I believe" poem, Larry. Not particularly original nor with any "knock the socks off" poetic merit, it is competent and meets the norm of FanStory criteria for excellence. Writing this sort of piece is always a good way to clarify for oneself what one believes and to pass it on to others.

Yes you are so right, is it not wonderful that we can turn to a all loving God who forgives. Our human flesh will sin until the day he takes us home, and for that we need a lot of forgiveness at time. But we always need to strive and do the best we can to not yield ourselves back into temptation.
