This is an interesting poem and one that
does cause the reader to reflect on the
importance of the carrier pigeon in battles
of yesteryear. You've well captured the emotion
of setting the bird off on its mission.

fellow stout winged warrior - stunning line, Victor

I really enjoyed this beautifully poignant poem and tribute to the valiant carrier pigeon and it's significant role in war zones. Excellent work, my friend.

Hello,

I like the use of language you use in this poem. Very graceful and creative. I can see the picture you are making. I also like the way you used the bird to mirror your own life.

I am wondering, what is the fate of the narrator? What is it that they fear?
