I believe you think too much ... when I was having trouble feeling, I just decided one day to let it happen...to go with the flow no matter what that flow was ... in the end and at the moment we pass from this life to our next it's only going to be you and the man...why not choose to go out boldly and let the rest of it take care of itself...at 55 Victor you still have a lot of life left! You write brilliantly.

That's interesting. My enforced therapy says I need to not repress my feelings. Naturally, I don't think I do. But I can still soak up the compliments as well as anyone! lol

a good safe environment to express yourself ... now THAT would be something to witness! Your writing already speaks to many, imagine if you could really just let go! lol warmly ETS

Intersting way of getting one to think of the beauty of another life. This you could say is maybe a metaphor for how we all rely on nature for life. just not in such a direct way.

I liked the approach of this on and the structure. like the ...explosion. good technique.

Wonderfully written with originality and such creative imagination. I loved the metaphor of the bird and the soldier's emotional state in the arena of war. Very fresh and beautiful, rich poetic language and expression.

This is an amazingly well written poem. I can only imagine the feelings of this soldier as he holds his one chance
for salvation in his hands.

Enjoyed the metaphors and the quiet suddle imagery. It has an emotional connectedness as well. Flow and rhythm are good as well. Enjoyed the read.

It is a tough situation indeed when the only hope the pigeon he has to let go and the feelings of the soldier is pathetic. A serious poem that is touching..

This is a great piece of nature poetry.
You have penned a good tribute to a simple creature, the pidgin. I like your diction . You display a strong attachment to nature. kudos

Great poetry, it really follows the emotional journey of the soldier well, before the bird's travels even start. The freeform style captures the confusion and stream of consciousness of the soldier too. Thank you for sharing.

I never truly valued my own mortality until I held my children in my arms and realised what a gift human life is. I wonder if this pigeon thought the same thing as he carried off the hopes of brave yet scared soldier in battle. Thank you indeed Victor for reminding me how precious life is...you humble me today.

Very well done. I loved the creativity of this idea. I man whose only hope is encased in the body of a pigeon. And if saved I would think the bird would be retired to a happy life.
