I have been offline for so long I'm trying to catch up on what I missed before I start reviewing again.
I'm glad your treatment went so well. I guess the question is, are you cancer free now? I have heard that, if you stay cancer free for five years, you are considered cured.
Okay, so for this book. At first, I was irritated that Joe took so much on himself to plan everything and have it all set up before he asked her to marry him. then i thought it was romantic. I was an air force wife for ten years, so I thought about the problems inherent in being five hundred miles apart and decided it was the perfect solution. Then Sara rescued it all by her reaction, and the denouement was perfect. go with your insticts.

I was told if I live to be 100 and died of a heart attack, then I was cured of cancer, if at 100, I die of cancer, I was in remission. They won't say I'm cured. I have missed you so much. I hope are doing better. My prayer is that you stay around here for awhile.

I just loved how this is ending. I think it is awesome they are finally getting married, Cassies getting adopted and they finally get to have a life. I loved this. Blessings.

This is a beautiful ending, Barbara. I love the way you have maintained Sara's spirit and independance until the last sentence. So much complicates a single mum's life and too many have succumbed to the first person who says "I'll look after you." Only to find it was the wrong decision. This is a beautiful ending, Barbara. I love the way you have maintained Sara's spirit and independance until the last sentence. So much complicates a single mum's life and too many have succumbed to the first person who says "I'll look after you." Only to find it was the wrong decision. Hi, Barb As usual, your writing is impeccable and is but one chapter in an interesting story. It's difficult to find any fault with its and I wish you the best of luck as you continue on. A suggestion if I may:
"She chewed her lower lip" (I think bit her lower lip would sound more realistic somehow. Chewing implies a long term thing to me.)
"Joe crept toward Sara" This sounds a bit eerie, I would make it "Joe moved toward her."

Hi, Barb As usual, your writing is impeccable and is but one chapter in an interesting story. It's difficult to find any fault with its and I wish you the best of luck as you continue on. A suggestion if I may:

I am happy to see that they get married at last, and, what a surprise. Joe really gets things organised, okay, without her help, but those close to her have been 'in on it' so Sara should be well pleased.
I think this relationship can stand up to the one sided organisation, after all Joe, has been there for her for a while.

Hi Barbara, I think this is an excellent post. It did seem like Joe took a lot control without Sara permission. I can understand why she was angry. But I think in the end you worked around it okay. I didn't spot any nits.

I love love stories and I love happy endings. This story has both so I will have to gave it good maeks. I have an idea that Sara is not going to be a pushover so Joe will need to watch his steps. Cheery.
