your poem is superbly written and rich in imagery. Stunning art work and color presentation. Excellent use of metaphor about darkness overcoming the true Light. I enjoyed the lines: "My one true Light Right next to me through this night." Your Whitney is in excellent form. I love your spiritual message. Keep up the creative writing.

Wow... what a great poem. When I opened it, with this title, I was expecting a sad dog story. Boy was I glad I was wrong. Well written and such nice words that tell a story.

Oh wow. This is a short poem with a fantastic message of hope declaring that your true Light will never leave you nor forsake you no matter what darkness you go through. I really enjoyed reading this well written Whitney poem.

Who is next to you? The person who is the light of your life or is it God? The capital letters on 'He' and 'Light' might make us lean towards God, but somehow I am leaning towards the person you love. You tease us with the dual meaning!
