I have a friend who carves and creates churches of different sizes. He even fills them with people and lights, etc. You made me think of him right down to GONE FISHIN' He does that too. Congratulations and really enjoyed your little workshop.

I did enjoy this poem. I could hear the music, smell the shavings, and see the "shop". A good story in this verse, I see why you got such recognition. Loved the "gone fishing". Thank you.

Yu tell your story beautifully in lovely quatrain style and I think you are a very wise man and a most creative one aw well. My husband, not yet retired, is an avid fisherman and texts me occasionally from his boat out in the ocean telling me he is either still fishing or "catching" because wrote a poem a while ago about this difference. You are good with your hands and with your mind and that being the case, your retirement and your marriage shoul both remain in very good shape. The Blue Pixel
