Nicely done. Hard to continue the same rhyme throughout such a long poem. I think you had fun writing it, maybe due to the Christmas cheer. Thanks for using my picture to illustrate your good work.

The first real snow is always beautiful, it's the ones that follow, I start to get a bit tired of...though I'd rather have snow than rain! Anyhow, I like the picture you choose as well. This is a fun poem to read. It describes a nice Christmas Eve shared with a loved one. The first real snow is always beautiful, it's the ones that follow, I start to get a bit tired of...though I'd rather have snow than rain! Anyhow, I like the picture you choose as well. Strangely enough we did see some snowflakes on Christmas morning. Just enough to coat what was already there.
Your lovely thoughts enhance the expectation of waiting for that first snowflake. You show the feeling of anticipation and delight at it happening very well.

Great use of rhyme here. It sounds like a jolly tribute to snow. The meter works very well,too. I can't say I share your enthusiasm for snow, but the poem is a well constructed work. Nicely done.
