Ok, I know I missed a lot because I wasn't on FS when this first posted. I enjoyed reading it & wish to catch up with those I missed. The POV is great. Cats are smart & this could be exactly what Simba was thinking. Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

Hi Jan; thank you so much for reading along. It is hard for me to believe that I wrote these chapters almost seven years ago! I have updated and edited a few, but I've added a total of 9 stories from the past and started adding Bernie and Howie tales to the book.

LOL! I bet he didn't care for the puppy too much. I can imagine hissing and growling, like my former neighbor. A dog always takes a lot of time to care for and sometimes felines get jealous, I think.

Again you do a terrific job in giving Simba a personality. It's not easy to do this. I felt really sorry for Simba when I read the past ordeal with humans. Humans can be cruel and disregard animals. My mother has three cats and a dog, but they don't always get along, lol. The dog has often to be separated from the cats. cats also fight with each sometimes. You should just see.
Looking forward to see about the new puppy and Simba's reaction.

A book of pet stories about the various (?) been blessed to know over the years.
This is a good story. It's interesting and contains enough description of the main catrachter, allowing me to feel I know him pretty well.

I, also, think he enjoys being, let's say the k-word, "King." As he sits high on his perch, seeing who comes and who does not. All is well in his kingdom, except, the dog may be a problem. hi; I'm so glad you enjoyed this part of Simba's story. He was almost ten at the time of this story. He died the next year. He was an inspiration of quite a few stories. I'm posting another one today,

Simba could only hope that his hearing had gone bad. Puppy surely must be a four-letter word to an older cat!
I was sad for Simba when he was in the cage for such a long time; you did a good job describing his bewilderment at being left there.
