Oh my, Barbara. I feel so bad that you are going through this. I hope you tolerate the chemo therapy well and best wishes to you.

Fred, I hate to mention it, because I am not a poet, but why the four stars? Yesterday was my first chemo treatment and it went reasonably well. Today I am dizzy and slightly nauseated. I have been told my bad days will be Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

I love the end. Victory. That is what you will have Victory. You made have to go thru hell, but you will come back stronger and better. Hey Hair grows back and usually stronger. I pray for you......But, You will be fine.

Barbara, I am so sorry you have to go through this. I hope that
writing your excellent poem might have, in some small way,
helped you to prepare for what lies ahead. Your poem pretty
much tells it like it is--very powerful. I will keep you in my
prayers. Connie

Thank you for your prayers. So far I am only dizzy and slightly nauseated. I have been told the rough days will be Saturday afternoon and Sunday. We shall see.

ANd what does this mean "I am not a Poet" yes you are like it or not! Barbara I am so sorry that you are going through this, I wish I could hold your hand or in some way more personally support you. What I can do is pray, and that I will, yes you are in for the fight of your life but if I may be of some encouragement please read my "Lift up your face" poem it is in my portfolio I have not promoted it yet and I am not asking you to review it just read it. Christ is Near may his angels do battle for you.
GOd Bless you
Jenny

I have written essays for my previous cancer posts each one had a little poem at the end. I decided this time it was best to put in poem form.

Oh, I'm late at reading this and it's now after the fact. I hope it went well for you Barbara. Your faith sounds in tact and you are fearful, yes, but also very positive. You will get through this with prayer and love all around you. Remember, with each treatment, you're one treatment closer to being done! I wish you well. God bless you.

This is a beautiful free verse poem. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. What do you mean you aren't a poet? I could feel your emotion and pain and the sense of being scared. Please take us on this journey with you. I think it will help. Beautiful poem, Shirley

It's a beautiful poem. I've been there and it's difficult, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I finished six months of chemotherapy in 1996. So, it's a long time ago. Think positve thoughts. Keep tissues, handiwipes and lysol in the classroom! Feel free to ask me anything about my experience.
Prayers and best wishes.

Thank you for your encouragement. Lysol in the classroom is forbidden, but I have snuck it in and it's under lock and key.

This is not a review of your work. I just wanted to
let you know that you are in my prayers and keep a
strong faith. Always remember what the Lord said,
"I will never leave or forsake you".
