why i dont have a zillion stars left here beats me. just another one of those things that you will understand, though it is not written.. I believe this story is a brilliant understanding of self, of life that has been and life that will be in the future. a real personal acknowledgement of self judgement, and the emotional joy of truly accepting what has been and what will be. a persoanl victory in its entirity.. I commend you for writing such a heart rendering story of self recognition. of life or love of resentment and of true confessions to self.. a wonderfully moving and compelling lesson on life's realities, acceptance and truth. I cannot express just how incredibly moving this tale has been to read and absorb.. I commend you for writing this journal to self.

This letter to a child who the author once was is full of information and warnings and evidences that life has not been easy for this woman. She lists the events that will become stumbling blocks, dwells on future triumphs. This is a well-written, emotional and touching piece.

Let me share my tears here. I read this with a lump in my throat as it is such a story of truth from a father talking to his daughter. It also touched me in a way that was hard for my son who suffers without his father in his life, it is sad. You are so right grab that bull by the horn and be something,someone and let the past hurts go. It is at times like this and in reading this that it does come out and I applaud this story no matter how much my tears come. I just had to share this with you fine Poet:) Good luck in the competiton and this story shall resonate in my for a very long time. Magic xoxox

This is written beautifully. It tells a life story with much emotion and some bitterness. The writer couldn't find acceptance from her Dad and carried that hurt throughout life. She became a strong woman anyway. I love the ending about making lemonade out of lemons.

What a biography and how well it is told! The summary of life lived with courage and strength and then having the ability to forgive.
Strength of character. But I still hoped the father would realize or hoped she would stop bothering but then she is a great woman.
