Yes courting styles are now almost nonexistent. There is no chivalry left any more. Just a lustful selfishness that seems to permeate our societies social norm. There is something to be said to 'getting to know all about someone' before 'getting someone'. Just hopping into the sack leaves out such romance, wonder, and of course the intimacy of each others companionship. Very well worded and stated clearly for all to understand. Nice piece. Thank you.

I really enjoyed the message of this poem and the courage of the writer in going against the prevalent modern attitude to dating. I like the couplet format for this poem as it gives the poem a brisk flow. Should "old fashion" be "old fashioned"? A nice poem!

You are absolutely right. Keep time in dating, knowing more about one's partner. This is the old-fashioned way. Now, in modern times, partners do the mating at once. Others got married even if they had not fully known each other. Then when hardships came, they divorced at once...
Wonderful message and wonderful artwork too. Is that you and your partner? You're both beautiful..

These days veryone wants it now even sex. Thats to bad as sex is somthing special that two are to share between each other and to get it right off the bat there is no more specialness to it and all you want is someone else to find that specialness again. To me what fun is there in that. I like to build the excitment up first a long process but well worth it in the end. Well have a ice day. Thank you for your comments.
