I liked your poem very much and found that you expressed the sadness of parting very well. However, I think you could work on the scanning a bit. The first 2 verses work well, but after that I felt a lack of scanning. Thank you for using my art to illustrate your work.

Your rhyme is great, your message is sad yet sweet. As the writer said 'parting is such sweet sorrow.' You have captured that statement well. I wish all ending friendships could end so well. Yet you leave room for a ray of hope.'I hope we'll each enjoy our brand new start!' such optimism amidst the loss. Well done. Thank you.

A lovely sentiment in this poem. Your notes tell us it refers to the end of a long time relationship, but in my circumstances, having lost a dear husband recently, they can easily refer to us. He was terminally ill for years, and in that time we came to grips with the knowledge that one of us would be alone. This poem seems to put our thoughts along that line into emotional words, and I thank you for writing it.
One point: I believe the word 'somehow' should be written as one word, not two.
I love the artwork you've chosen, because photographing double rainbows was a hobby of mine, and this is an excellent example. Good luck.

This poem seems to put our thoughts along that line into emotional words, and I thank you for writing it.

A double rainbow is double good luck. Partings are always full of sorrow. Remembered feelings of shared enjoyment are always there regardless of the reasons you part as friends.
