So true, we should never lose that spark. We would all be happier, thus making the world a happier place. What a happy thought...
Loved this. Thank you.

Hi Grace.I am really so happy to know you are getting better. Hope to see you back on FS very soon.
My sincere apologies for not having been in touch. While I was in India before I came to Uk, my computer broke down. Got myself a new laptop but have been travelling. Just came from Portugal and France.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers always.
Love and hugs, Amyna

What a lovely picture you chose, Grace. Angelheart is the best. I love your poem about childhood days. Sometimes you do wish you could go back and have the carefree days you had back then. But, I don't think we ever let go of the child within us.

My school days were horrible, except university. I would hate to go back and relive those times. But you are right in saying, never let the spirit of youth die. Keep that flame burning. Ray aka Krylon

I loved the picture as well. The poem is nice and is easy to read and flows well. I agreed with the sentiment. It was done in a nice style and I saw no need for editing.

Your portrayal of childhood is very charming. Childhood for some children is full of dreams and enchantment. Adults should fight to see that all children can enjoy their childhoods.

wierdgrace,
your free verse is beautifully written. Gorgeous art work of Angelheart's you've used. Your free verse brought back memories of childhood. I like the first stanza and the last line the best. It's a delight to read your lovely poetic art.

What can refreshing and up lifting poem
love the flow of the poem and for many there are happy memories. But mine were few to none. And since the stroke It has been erased from my memory bank. Only to day I had flash backs of something that happen in my life and I was so sorry to remember them. But God is s good God, I don't for the life of me know what they were now. What ever happy memories I have they were with my children when they were babies and growing up. I thank God many years ago that I wrote some of the happy and fun times and things down that we share.''I didn't mean to carry on so- I'm sorry.

Wierdgrace, I absolutely loved this poem. I wish I had a six and I'd give it to you. What a beautiful picture you paint of the wonderment of what we see through our childlike eyes. Thanks for sharing with us.

I enjoyed reading your poem. I wish we could all go back to the innocence of childhood. Life was so much easier and the world looked so much better.
