Hi Barbara.
I loved this poem even though you say you are not a poet. I admire the courage and faith that you have displayed both in the poem and essay...
I wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see ur writing on FS son.
With prayerful good wishes and hugs, Amyna

Thank you for your kindness and continued support. I think now I have heard from almost every state, maybe on Montanna.

It took a lot of guts for you to write this all down. I take my hat off to you for your presence of mind and clarity. God help you through this difficult time. I pray that you get through this stronger and with a bigger zest for life, in Jesus Name, I pray.

Amen, Amen Amen :-). Thanks for sharing this story with us, Barbara. Keep strong. I'm not sure about your hair growing straight, but the new hair is definitely much nicer than the old hair. Mine grew curlier, but then I wanted curly hair.

Perhaps you could look at JShep and her journey with stage 4 cancer, if you haven't already. The cancer may steal your body but your soul belongs to God. You are in my thoughts for the 16th and now you have another FS friend in Australia. Well written, liked your poem and writing about it helps you let off steam. We are listening!

I just met her on Saturday. I am already amazed at her strength. Thank you for your kindness and support. I have added Australia to my post. I can't believe I left out that goregous country.

You're going through a major ordeal, it won't be easy but you have a strong spirit from what and how you wrote. My only suggestion, is to let yourself feel your sadness and anger fully, so that they can be released.
I like the last part of your story before the poem, where you mentioned you learned two new things from cancer, I thought that was quite humorous and can be made into a satire.
I wish you peace and serenity.
Blessings,
Miranda

I believe you can weather this storm and you have family there to help you too. We're all pulling for you also and we'll understand when the chemo gets bad you won't feel like writing then. Keep your spirits up. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you for your kindness. I will be honest. The surgery doesn't bother nearly as badly as the idea of chemo. That has me scared, but I am sure my friends and family will help me through it.

Wonderfully sad story. I liked how your story flowed. It was very clear and concise. The punctuation was appropriate and this story was interesting. I enjoyed your sense of humor in the face of adversity. The only thing I would have done different is to save the fanstory thanks until the end. The poem was lovely and should be put on a breast cancer support site to inspire others! I'll be praying for you. Keep the faith!
