This is an excellent essay relevant to your struggles. Very informative, yet more importantly, very hopeful giving the reader a picture of your strength. My prayers go out to you and all those who suffer with this dreadful disease.

The poem is very well written, and full of well defined character.

My six star rating is not because a sympathy rating, but a reflection of how impressed I am that you gave yourself a day-long pity party, well-deserved, but then you sucked it up and decided to fight. I'm sure it's not always easy, but you are remaining strong and positive. I like how you said that the strength found you. I wish you nothing but the best, and you will be in my prayers. The Lord's peace be with you.

May you have a wonderful time in that which is left for you on this planet. So many suffer in so many ways yet there is still hope as it seems nothing is finished until it is over. Sorry about this but I have lived with God in my heart all my life until recently. Now I am just really confused. If I have a pary, I offer it up to you.

Thank you, Barbara, for including us in your struggle. I can't imagine all the feelings that you must be going through and you are being put on my 'prayer list'. I wish you and your family all the luck in the world. As you know, putting your feelings on paper will help to release them from your body. Good luck and good health. jane

You can add India to your list now. "more things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of." Suffering is the manure which makes the soul grow. And nothing is impossible near His Supreme power and generosity. If you believe than you are cured already. Your anguish from your heart is heartrendingly honest, and has reached across the miles to touch all those who have read your story. As sure as there is a God in heaven, your faithwillmake thee whole. i send you love light and healing. Mrs Gooloo Mehta (gooloom0

Barbara, Keep the faith, don't lose sight of your pryers and your family and frineds. My wife underwent Breast cancer surgery with the removal of lymph nodes 12/10/01. This came at a time when we were on the verge of splitting up. Well, she needed me, I was there for her and we are still together. She had the surgury, radiation and chemo. I was there at each step. She is a 9 year survivor and every follow-up vist (knock wood) has been wonderful. She puts her full faith and her life in the hands of her Oncologist for everything. She is strong, full of piss and vinegar and doing great. So, keep praying to God and he will see you through as I will also pray for you my friend. Peace... and best of luck with your next phase...

I'm glad you shared your difficult journey with us.

God answers our prayers according to His will. Believing He will heal us doesn't heal us unless it's His will. I know there are teachings to support "name it and claim it," but it isn't Scriptural. The apostle Paul asked God three times to heal him; God said no each time. Paul had enough faith, but it wasn't God's will. Paul praised God for His decision, because he understood why God wouldn't heal Him.

It is important that you seek God's will for you with your cancer. He knows you want to be healed. He may want to do that. I can assure you that your confidence is in a lie from the enemy. Jesus loved John the Baptist. He said there was no greater born of a woman than John the Baptist. Yet, God took his life in a horrible way. If your confidence is in anything other than God's personal Word to you about His plans for your cancer, when the enemy is ready, he can remove your confidence and bring you down. If you hear from God and believe what He tells you, Satan will try to take it away, but it won't belong to him, and he'll fail.

I lift you & your illness up to Father God. I ask Him to personally speak to you about His plans for your life and your cancer. I pray that either way, you will have peace going forward in agreement with God. The truth is where you'll find the power of God. I hope this message helps you.

Many of my FS friends already know what I'm facing (add comma - independent clauses joined by conjunction) but for the rest of

twenty-four year old (twenty-four-year-old) son, who sat in the waiting room.

friends on six continents, (change comma to colon) Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South Americas.

Spawn of the Devil. Having had cancer in my life, its impossible not to relate to your struggle and the inspiring message you are sending out through your writing. Its always been my belief also that cancer is a dark entity that cannot stand up against the light of the Lord. You desire any and all praise you will and I'm sure have received for your undaunted courage during this darkest of times in your life. Your strength is uplifting.
