Thanks for a great review. Yes, one of the underlying themes of the story is that Kim's Buddhist faith, life, and actions are what sustains her. This review mean a great deal to me.

I liked your story, but I think the ending introduces too much new information. Try writing another, with a satisfying conclusion and a succint "thesis statement." The sentence, "She was on the path of right action" is the one, in my opinion. Perhaps just a rearrangement would work?

I love this author's work. The telling is so engaging, so hard to stop reading. If this was a book, I know I could fall into it and not put it down. The pacing is wonderful, the tone is beautifully laid, and it has excellent timing. Nice work!

Yes, I used the British spelling, as I felt Kim, growing up with a French father, would know that spelling better (it's the same in French.) Do you think the American spelling would be more effective? Thanks for a great review.
