While this was difficult to read in some places, I must review it on its merit as a written work. And in that respect, it is an excellent story. Good dialogue, plot, and ending. Easy to follow.

Excellent work here Alvin. Unfortunately, this sad story could be told by so many young Vietnamese women. Another of the tragedies that occurs in war. It is truly unfortunate that so many mixed race children are shunned by both sides of their parentage and many in the public at large. Very well done.

I'd say she had a very strong character. It was a little harsh having her baby stabbed in the heart but I have no doubt something like that really happened. I believe the American soldiers did do things like that also. It was a great contest entry and your writing was excellent. Thank you. Keimosobie

Alvin, this was a very moving story. I can remember during Viet Nam and after, how this was such a problem. So many half American children left behind, and the women who thought they saw some kind of redemption, having their hearts torn out and dissolusioned by lies. It was horrific. I am saddened by your story, as I am sure this still happens all over the world, by all peoples involved in war. Is there any good that can come of it? Very good contender for this contest. I enjoyed this story very much. Congratulations on all time best achievement. The trouble is it makes me wonder why I bother.It painted a graphic picture for me, supplied some tension and some relief - then it made me feel a little ashamed of some of our selfish Western values.
