Beautiful. I had to read this several times, the words were musical and hypnotic. I loved the repetitive line, "I send my soul to soar, lifting off this page." Well done.

Poetry is such an exquisite way to lift one's soul out of itself and into a realm where others can share the experience. Very nice use of the form.

Hi, my friend. I feel the love! Thanks for explaining a villanelle. It sound so formal and challenging. Don't know with my lack of experience I could get close. Using a page lifted from a book opened was so original. lol...susan

An excellent villenelle - just learnt what one is - thankyou very much. I grappled with a triolet my last but one posting and found that quite mind boggling - would love to try one of these. Very well written - brilliant content and spot on rhyming. Just one point - you need an 'i' for image after magic. JennieClare
