This is filled with lovely imagery (complemented by the artwork), and I like the way the poem progresses from caterpillar to butterfly. Nice alliteration throughout. (Note: "metamorphisis" is misspelled--should be METAMORPHOSIS.) Good luck to you in the contest, Jeanie Mercer

I decided to study sedoka poems
before reviewing any more after
reading the first two which came
across the screen
I like the presentation of this
one as well as the eloquent story
it tells about metamorphosis -- we
could all learn a lot from those
caterpillars

Great sedoka poem with great imagry. I particularly like your use of large multi-sylable words in the first stanza to [not just fill, but] capture the meter count. Nice pictures, too, which bring emphasis to your words

I like the idea of your caterpillar wrapping up in a warm blanket. It is indeed, a transformation of nature when it later emerges as a 'free-flying rainbow'. What a lovely expression that is. A most apt picture to accompany your poem. Well written and well done.

"free flying rainbows" is an inspired poetic line and a beautiful metaphor for a butterfly. The metamorphosis of the caterpillar into a butterfly is rendered with excitement in your poem.

The imagery, helped and complimented by the artwork, was astounding. I could see this beautiful butterfly emerging from its cocoon, and slowly unfurling its magnificent wings in all its resplendent colors. Very nice poetry, I enjoyed it immensely. Debbie :0)
