Hi Pupa,

I really like this idea and how you've written it up too. Very creative and enjoyable to read. Good presentation too. Those chains, I guess we all carry some. For me, they are becoming lighter as I get closer to Him. Yes, indeed.

Cheers, Frank

Yes, you are absolutely right, I believe He takes the burdens off our backs, until we can feel so light and free that we can fly! Guess He makes us see, what we usually didn't.
Glad you liked it, thanks Frank.

Well done poem that effectively portrays the struggles we face when burdened by emotional/psychological chains. These chains are formed insidiously link by link over a period of time. The poem ends on a positive note--the willing mind can create a solution, a "brand new key." Best wishes, Hector

This is a very insightful work. I especially liked this phrase "take off your loads of deep blues, as I do with agonizing shoes." It tells much about my character as well.

As always Amada, we find similarities whenever we read each other. Thanks dear friend, and let us take of those heavy disabling shoes and run freely!

A great reminder to us all, Pupa, that we do have to make the effort and sometimes just putting one foot in front of the other is the best way to start. Quickly then we can build momentum and leave behind all that we don't want.

As always, many thanks for sharing.

Hi Pupa - I liked this a lot. Written in a unique fashion, a letter to the "chains" that hold you back. Melancholy at times, but ends with hope. The font was a bit hard for me to read (I'm old), but it was such in fitting with the letter theme. Regards, Bill

Hi PUPA,

I love a poem with a lesson and this one speaks the wisdom. Yes, we are often the cause of adding to our own pain. I liked these lines best...
If I caused you to be, my strength of mind
will manage to craft a brand new key,
to unlock and set my feet free.
A good rhyme and flow. A pleasure to read and review. Thank you for sharing.

An artfully crafted poem of the
self imposed chains which bind
us.
Words that cry out, whispered from
deem within, knowing that you are
the only one who can unbind these
chains.
An emotionally written poem that flows
down the screen in a soul baring presentation
of self reflection.
Well done
