I agree with your words from
the heart. These dear children
of our children become the hope
and great joy of our aging years.
I love your theme of let the children play.

Good message! If we would only learn from innocent babes about color of skin, differences, and other issues that divide us. This is a good poem with a good theme.

A fine piece of work, and a good message. Too many parents race to teach their kids responsibility instead of encouraging imagination and see their role only as a dutiful chore instead of the blessed opportunity to make a difference for the future. "Let the children play...and watch." So very true, too many adults don't realize how much can be learned from the eyes and mind of a child. Well done! Thanks for sharing.

This is a well written and very insightful poem. Our children today are expected to grow up much too fast. I think we need to back up and slow down and as you said, let the children play.

Leave the children to play. WEe learn from them and their innocent ways. We go back almost as children as we get old in age. I think we can relate to them more then. Great imagery and good job. Keep it up.

hey
good messages
yes the children have much to learn but they have so very much more to teach us of the mature generation
their laughter and games could be our wisdom

I guess you are right- at a certain age, there is nothing but the children to think about, to train in the way we want them to go. Some things in this work seem to hang, unconnected, to the body of the poem, and the poem ends with the slightly cryptic: "Learn from Evolution". I wish I knew what the author meant by that.

As your poem points out, it is difficult being a parent and grandparent. As much as we may wish to, it isn't always possibile, nor wise, to reach out and them in the manner we wish we could or shd.Great poem.

I like this and agree with what you said here. Children do have a way of giving us hope for the future again. As we get caught up in lifes worries we sometimes lose the hope that we used to feel at a younger age. Blessings to you and keep writing. Hanna Marie

No, Sir.
Most of the parents believe in what is called helicopter parenting. They hover over their children all the time and think it is their filial duty to guide their children all the time; they forget their own mistakes.
As you wrote, it's best to let the childen play and watch. I'm sure it'll usher in a new order with less strife.
