First and foremost, this sixer is not in repayment for the one you gave me. It is there because you earned it with your own skill. I am glad you and your mother made up. Good luck in your contest.

Thank you so much for the marvelous 6 stars. I know you well enough to know that you would never give a 6 you didn't feel deserved it. I am both honored and pleased you felt this deserved it.

'Rebirth' is a stunning account of your relationship with your mother. That blue-eyed portrait is stunning and says you are an amazing artist.

Oops on the your: 'I held you(r) hand'

This story is written with much originality. Thanks for the truly good read.

It's great that healing finally came. I don't know how a mother can ignore the pains of a child, but the so often do in favor of a monster. Great job.

Hey Girl, This one brought a tear to my eye.
The pain with family is driven deep into these words.
The most beautiful part is when you chose to give up or release the demons that gripped you for so many years.
I think that happened May 30th 2006.
Once released they no longer controlled you.
The release gave you the freedom to move on and gain happiness. Congratulations!
Jim

Hello, well this is very moving, especially if the reader knows it is biographical. It is a terrible crime and I can understand how you kept it bottled-up inside, for all those years. Your mother was very brave, and so were you to keep your word to her.

I saw nothing that needed to be improved, you are telling this story your way and in your own good time.

Thanks for sharing something so personal, and I love the title and the way you have placed your rebirth in a situation and time. You are reborn! And I pray you continue down this road for the rest of your life, lv, rebekah

I believe these are the key words to your entire post, ' a child at heart', because if we can become a child at heart we can appreciate the beauty surrounding us. This includes nature and humans and to have faith and hope in everything. It's a special way to view life.

I held you hand and wiped your brow (I held YOUR hand)

I just want to say, that while NO ONE wants to go through the, "Scrapbook of Hell", most of the time we can't bring ourselves to throw it out, either.
Nice poem.
I'm sorry for your pain, and your loss.
Good luck!

As usual, your writing touched me to the core.

I love the verse you wrote to your mother. It is perfect in every way.

Your ending says it all:I am, and always will be, a child at heart and am finally able to enjoy the beauty and joy I am surrounded by every minute of every day. I am truly happy, what more could I possibly ask for?

A truly inspiring write, my dear talented frined.
