That is the end of our journey, the grave, unless you want to be cremated but even then, I think. I love the imagery you use to describe the journey. The color and the artwork, perfect.

Thank you so much.

Victor, you are such an elegant writer. Your poem made me think of those musicians who kept playing knowing that the end was coming soon.

To accept one's death is a brave and wise thing. To fight against it is foolishness. This is very well written with very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

I thought that this was a great poem and the notes at the end really help to bring about its full meaning. How much courage does it take to stand still and accept one's fate? Great poem

Hi Voctor, I love the final stanza of this poem that deals with acceptance of our fate. It points to the idea of enjoying life while it lasts and acceptance of the end. Nicely philosophic

Hey Victor, this is a very thought provoking and cleverly written piece.
I love the way it bobbed up and down gently in the vastness and also the concise way you brought all your words and narratives together.
I think the way you spoke from the point of view of the sea was quite a unique approach and you seemed to coax gently the ill fated ship to its doomy depths with quiet confidence and acceptance. Other than a few people jumping into lifeboats, most peoples fate was sealed the minute that iceberg hit.
Thanks for sharing a great piece and nice to see you on the front page.
Cheers closet xoxo
On another matter:
PS I am hanging in on those bends!! LOL

Hi Closet! Does it ever get stuffy in there? Ha ha, thanks for the review. This remains one of my very favorites.

I love this gripping, sad and deadly sea adventure. Those who lived it live forever in our hearts through the media. You've added to the romanticism of the epic with beautiful words. And give those who watch their fate happen before them honor.

Thank you Miss Joyce. You know the first stanza started out as something else entirely. But I converted it to defiance of one's fate if you will and people seemed to take to it.

It turned out wonderful...
Thanks you for sharing it, my friend!!!!!!!!!

A very beautiful piece on reality and fate......
(come let us yonder vale together)(linger enough to cast light across its shadows) great imagery!
Especially love the last verse..... Bryan

Well, kind of unnecessarily dark, but to each his own.
I really liked it, and the "final resting" of the last lines really settles things, maybe a little too well.
I guess the words even offer a sense of foreboding.
Very nice.

Beautiful. We are very tiny among the vastness and the Titanic is a good example of this. The ship sinks, disappears and those on it die. Life goes on.
Thanks for the insight.
