Okay Bob, is this true? I would say you and your wife set your wife set your wife by the computer in the same time zone in which you liveor were vacationing, like California and when you were drinking coffee at the coffe house it was in another time zone like Georgia, 3 hours later. Am I being too clinical? Help me out here?

Huh? We never left our area...five miles from our house is where barnes and Noble is..And had not left the area in over a year..LOL No, that theory has been mentioned, Shirl....LOL...Want to try again? Thanks for the attention and review.. Bob

I will try again. Bob, I don't think I will get it right today because I set the alarm off in my own home. Gary said I am acting weird today. So a seizure is probably on it's way. I was coming in from the store and pushed in the wrong code and the alarms went off. The alarm people called to see if someone was breaking in,LOL I still think it has something to do with that 37 foot Boa that bit me 72 times yesterday. LOL

Bob,
man, does sound like the Twilight Zone stuff, huh? If You'd traveled from California to New York, (from Pacific Coast Time Zone, to Eastern Time Zone, and hadn't changed the computer clock or her watch, then that would be your answer. However, if that didn't happen, I don't have a clue.

The writing is superb, you write as though you're talking to someone. Which is a great gift for an author. Ideas, I have a couple. You and your wife are very in tune to each other, therefore, if something happens to one it will likely happen to both. So for whatever reason, it seems you jumped linear time.

I don't know, Bob, but sure sounds Twilight Zone-ish for sure. I think I'd go back, sit in the same place, do the same stuff, and see if it happens again. If not, you were transported by the time gods and they erased your memory.

Well done my friend. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. I sometimes set the computer's time with the time that appears on my watch or office clock. Perhaps, through such an experience, one becomes more cognizant of the "fickleness" of time...as the bitten apple turns brown, an idea comes and goes, the hands on the keys show new spots, and the hands on the watch issue their silent warning. Best wishes.

I - The intergalactic surveyor ship ran the narrow focus scan on the first of the scheduled polar transects. It was searching for valuable minerals in the planet below.
II - The magnetic perturbation distorted the magnetic field when it passed. Clocks within the scan, and keyed to automatically reset to the UTC standard signal, corrected automatically. Electronic clocks and digital wrist watches without that feature displayed random errors while those outside the scan remained unaffected.
Clockwork watches were essentially unaffected by the exposure though it stalled the escapement for a millisecond.
Now, whose is this probe?
Fantasist

Hi, Allezw2. LOL...your idea is just as coherent as anything else I've gotten ...LOL...thanks so much for our "time" Bob

You should post them!
I didn't include all of the possible mischief such a probe could cause. Elctronic controls for power generation and distribution, for instance. RF monitoring in hospitals, and all digital controls would have been scrambled. There went your ATMs and point-of-sale terminals. Without self-healing software as default to correct these anomalies, trains, planes, ships, submarines and countless other digital devices would be affected. Somewhat similar to the effect an electromagnetic pulse from a low orbit nuclear device would have.
Have fun!

Bob:
First, I cannot account for the time difference between your computer and watch and everyone else's timepiece.
Second, As far at the writing goes, I accept the informal style at face value and realize that with your critical eye you could have detected the same grammatical slips as I did. Hope you will find the answer. Best Regards, Travis
