Really good. I lived many years in Washington between Renton, Kent and Burien. I grew up loving my jeans and horses, and boots. Getting up before sunrise, feed and clean A beautiful way to start the mornings. I love cowboys who really know that life. Cowboy Up really says a lot about the character of the people who live on ranches and make it their way of living.

It is very much how we look at things. I was raised in a not so loving home where you had to watch every move you made other wise you were either going to get beaten or raped. I could have let that destroy me my entire life but I got back up and did what I had to do to move on. I liked this because yeah you might not have all the material things or a lot of people but you don't need all the material things. And what good are 20 friends that are never there. It's better to have 2-3 good ones.

I agree with your cowboy up, when life notch around and get you down, his best to get up dust yourself or and get on with living. I thought this was well done very creative I thought the imagery was compatible with the contents of the story you tell. Well done no errors of mistakes Alexander

I loved it and I have to agree, its a term that more of us should take to heart when times get a little rough. If more people buckled down and just did what needs to be done, well maybe we'd all be a little better off. Great job!

Thanks, deepwater, for the lesson on Cowboying up. My dad used to tell us to "Buck up!" or "Man up!" They mean the same thing. I enjoyed reading your post.

'Cowboy Up' is both a lesson in morals as they should be, and a call to look closely inside ourselves. Do we pass this talented poet's test? In Australia this would be called, "Cop it sweet and don't bleat." It was a pleasure to read and review a poem of this quality.

This is a very good description of a cowboy. I ran into a lot of them when I lived in Texas. Your poem is descriptive and expressive. It is well written and has a wonderful flow. I really enjoyed reading it very much. Excellent read, God bless you!

It's also when the neighbor lets all the cows out of the gate or so a cowgirl friend of mine tells me. You have a good storytelling voice just what I would expect from a real cowboy.

clearer picture of the meaning o cowboy up. Thanks for the great interp.
For someone that is just beginning writing you are off to a really foine start. You do well with words and the way you lay them down. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

this is a well written verse with a very good recurring theme as it meat and potatoes. I enjoyed how you put this piece together with good imagery in a well written format. This was my pleasure to have read and written a review for... John
