A good choice of words,
so cleverly thoughtout
and presented as a
Rictameter Poem - and I just
love the picture - quite amazing.

Good luck with the contest, my friend.

Margaret.

I am a total klutz with bad knees but all my life have loved to watch Olympic-type sports - these skiers blow my mind, and you capture what they do extremely well in this poem, which is in excellent rictameter form :-) Brooke

This is awesome! You rose to the challenge od a rictameter very, very well! I tried one once, and although I got some votes, I thought I choked.

This piece, is so beautifully done. I like the phrases: " Arms emulating soaring wings", and basically the rest of it from there. "Poets of gravity, is a spark of genius!

Your flow in this works s what impresses me the most; so smooth, just like the gliding skier!

Best of luck in the contest!

How they manage to accomplish these fetes of skiing and jumping amazes me. Your poem really does applaud the efforts of the brilliant athletes we have representing our countries in the Olympic games. A good contest entry.

I loved the poem owing to the way it travels from start to end. I did not like the start, skiers was a good word but then lines were mere description and too simple without any special thing.

The ending lines were oozing with powerful metaphors and strange meanings.

Poets of gravity, I mean what a creative and bombastic term.
White grace airborne- Another awesome one with more meanings

Then the ending again.

To be honest lines of poets... onwards are powerful and great and prior to these lines are not equal in meanings, poetic brilliance.

Overall, a good effort and best of luck

They're quite amazing aren't they? I, personally, love the figure skaters. But, the skiers are a daring lot and it is amazing what they accomplish in the air. Best of luck in the contest. Sue

Wow, very cool rictameter! Like the poet, I've admired those men and women who challenge gravity by performing those aerial maneuvers on skis. Graceful and often breathtaking...

Loved the author's word choices:

"Poets of gravity
White grace airborne..."

Nice!

Thanks for sharing, and good luck in the contest...Jim.

Poets of gravity, what an awesome line. We've been watching and those people fly 50 feet high upside down. Six fits the poem but doesn't fit the amazing experience.

This is a super rictameter poem that sums up the cut and thrust in the pursuit of fame and glory at the Olympics. I especially liked the line " Poets of gravity ". I enjoyed this, nicely done.
