Grandma said it was cause she swallowed a watermelon seed and it grew. Now, I'm scared to eat watermelons, because what if a seed slips down my throat and I end up looking like that.

- I remember thinking that if I swallowed seeds they would grow in me, until I learnt about stomach acids. LMAO

A lovely tale from the eyes of a child, particularly in the relation of embarrassing escapades.

Good luck

Thank you Alison for reading and commenting on my story. I think we all had fears about those seeds. LOL.

A super story.
We should all be more careful about what we say in front of our children.
My mom had to change the watermelon seed to a pumpkin seed before i would eat watermelon and 60 years later and I still don't eat pumpkin.
Best of luck,
Dearl

Thank you Dearl for reading my story. I've noticed several people were told the seed would grow in your stomach. I don't really care for pumpkin but I'm glad I learned watermellow seed won't grow there.

Hullo Friend ....

I really enjoyed this, especially having read, in your Notes at the end, that it is all based on events that really happened to you between the ages of 3 and 5 years old.
It is well written and there is nothing to suggest changing. Thank you for sharing it with us and, as it is a Contest entry, I wish you well.
With love from .... Nanette Mary.

Parents do have a way of thinking their children's most embarrassing moments are great topics for what they think are adorable and endearing stories - this story, from the point of view of a child who would rather not have her privacy invaded, is truly funny and most accurate. The examples you provide are all so fun to visualize, unless, of course, you're the poor embarrassed child. LOL Brooke :-)

It's amazing what children remember. What they say and do is also pretty humorous. Logic doesn't come into the picture until later, but a child's logic is very straightforward. If they don't see it, they don't believe it. - Thesis
