Good tale, one of my favorites in this comp! Pretty complex storytelling, considering the restrictions imposed by the contest. Nicely done!
Question: Did you mean to capitalize "They"? Conventional dialogue tags use lower case. Then again, there's nothing wrong with a little unconventionality, if that's what you were going for. LOL!

What a great scene and story and all without an "s". It is amazing how you did this and accomplished such an outrageous work. I loved it. It is hysterical. I can feel the ice and cold just the way you describe. Great job. I wish you lots of luck in the contest.
