Never thought I'd read a poem on seahorses, so this was unique from the get-go. Very inspirational toward the end too.

I have never thought of seahorses in such a magical way before. You brought them to life for me with your stunning prose. What a wonderful way to celebrate, through a creature from the sea. I loved every word and thought in it.
The picture you chose is gorgeous and goes so well with your poem. Great way to begin the New Year.

Well, after writing a long detailed review, and hitting save, FS blipped out and I lost it!
Anyway, I love this poem for some very personal reasons. I spent more than 20 years in the Caribbean, and did many dives at a deep water pier where there was a thriving seahorse colony. I spent many holiday hours underwater, watching those magestic little creatures (and have the photos to prove it), including many New Year's Eve parties! Although I never kissed one, I did kiss more than one trunk fish...
Your poem has fun rhymes with a good flow. I love the beautiful artwork.
At the time of my diving, I knew I was a Pisces. I later discovered I was a horse in Chinese astrology and wonder if I am a seahorse, or, LOL - two seahorses swimming in opposite directions, depending on the day!!!
I like the way you combine the wonders of the sea with the magic of creation and the holidays... Perhaps those shining stars are really starfish!!!
Thank you for wonderful memories.

How wonderful you were able to observe a seahorse colony in their own habitat. I find these creatures enchanting and I have written a number of poems about them. I am glad this poem brought back so many wonderful memories of these beautiful creatures and your connection to them. Elaine

What a wonderfully captivating poem! It's full of imagination and fantasy, but also I believe spot on that all creatures sing praise to their Creator. Best wishes to you, Jeanie Mercer

I enjoyed your "Equine" and "Mermaids" metaphors and use of alliteration. I also liked your rhymes and unusual setting and characters to create holiday cheer. Happy New Year- Joan
