A wonderful little story, however Red still talked to the strangers. I enjoyed the story though, and you did a great job with the writing.

I hoped that it would show the children the many different approaches that a bad person could take. Thanks for reading and reviewing. Smiles, Carol

Begin Again.
Your tale of "Red Lives in the Hood" is well written. I thing you've written an enjoyable children's story. Your great at fiction tales. I love your description of Red:
"She danced across the floor, spinning round and round, and tossing her strawberry blonde curls everywhere."
Oh no, creep alert. I'm glad Red remembered her mamma's warning about talking to strangers. Good for Red for walking away an not go with the 'nice man' to look for his dog. Right, he has and dog and pigs do fly.
Then low and behold a strange lady tries to lure her away. I liked it when she saves her grandmother. I loved what Red told her:
"Red shook her little finger at her Grandma. "See what happens when you talk to strangers, Grandma."
Bravo, you've written a great tale that even kids could relate to. It was my pleasure to read your writing.
Melissa.

Glad you enjoyed this little approach to teaching a child about the many bad ways a person could approach an unsuspecting child. Thanks for the review. Carol

Boy, it's a good thing she is one savvy little girl whose mommy taught her well because she sure runs into a whole boatload of trouble!!! They must have shipped a whole mess of strangers into her neighborhood with a discount rate. LOL What a cool way to show kids that they must not fall for all these tricks strangers actually use to lure them. And the ending is just delightful. Brooke :-)
