Wow! if I had to be critical (which I'm not) I would say the one line I stumbled over was the second to last, to me it broke the flow of this most wonderful read, (but I stumble easily) I thoroughly enjoyed this with images of me on a mountain surrounded in beauty, very well done****kahpot

Thanks so much for you positive review. To be honest, I had a problem with that line, too, as the comma does break the flow. I'll have to pray about how to resolve it. Often, the images can beat the reality of being on a mountain!

Thanks so much! Mountains are really special places that get us away from the chaos of the world and give us a clear perspective. Just looking across our valley to the mountain in front of us is always an inspiration!

The only thing better than this poem is the magnificent scene you attached to piece. It remined me of scenes out of The Sound of Music. Truly beautiful. Your poem sits comfortably with this beauty. It promotes an image of peace.

It seems to be a common thread among humans to seek emotional comfort and a sense of uplifting awe in the mountains - closer to Heaven. I live in a mountainous country - New Zealand - and i find much pleasure in alpine areas, or even on top of a hill!
Your poem captures so beautifully the spiritual connection that is possible through appreciating God's gift of nature's beauties, and having faith to believe His word and accepting His divinity.

I dont live on a mountain but have one in my back yard almost and many all around as far as the eye can see. I am fortunate to live in the center of the North island of NZ. A truly stunningly Beautiful place Taupo, inspiration around every corner. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your poem !
