My selfishness and lack of concern for you and your needs never really seemed like that was what it was, but obviously it devastated you. I would grovel at your feet if you would take me back. I've been fortunate (and make no mistake, it IS luck, pure and simple) to never have been in the type of relationship you write about. But thanks to your superb letter, I can better imagine what so many women and men have discovered: that we can still learn a lot about ourselves from the brutally unkind and ultimately selfish people in our lives.
You are quite brave for having articulated your feelings, and so talented for having done it so well. You SHOULD be strutting around with head held high, dammit! You've earned it, and you deserve it.

I was not sure any one-person could fill the bill, - one person (it's not a compound)

When you ripped off my boss for the nights receipts, - night's
I cleaned up shit in mens rooms - men's
